Curiosities aka FAQs
1. How do I know if counseling is right for me? If you feel drained, anxious, resentful, or constantly questioning yourself, counseling can help you better understand and shift those patterns.
2. Who do you work with? I specialize in high-achieving professionals who feel drained from always putting others first and saying yes when they want to say no.
3. How do I know if I should start counseling now? If you feel exhausted, guilty, or invisible despite appearing “fine” on the outside, counseling can help you understand why and create lasting change.
4. What happens in the first session? We’ll talk about what brings you in, what you hope for, and set some initial goals together. You’ll also get tools you can begin using right away.
5. What if I don’t know what to talk about? That’s normal. You don’t have to come prepared, I’ll guide the conversation in a way that feels safe and supportive to help you through what you need to talk about as you begin this journey
6. Will therapy “fix” me? It will not because you’re not broken although it feels like it. Therapy is about growth, healing, and learning how to live more authentically, not about fixing who you are.
7. What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help? Many clients come to me after therapy that felt surface-level. My approach is relational, experiential, and grounded in neuroscience—helping you understand why you feel stuck, and giving you ways to move forward.
8. Is counseling confidential? Yes, your privacy is a top priority. Everything we talk about is held in strict confidence, within legal and ethical guidelines with some exceptions.
9. Do you offer virtual counseling? Yes, I provide secure online sessions so you can access therapy from wherever you feel most comfortable without needing to commute.
10. How long will therapy take? It varies. Some clients experience meaningful shifts in weeks, while others continue long-term for deeper growth. We’ll collaborate on what feels right for you at a pace that is honoring.
